The staircase was approx. 160-year-old. When we started work on transforming the staircase it was riddled with woodworm, so we removed it, replaced with a soft wood new staircase and new landings and cladded in solid oak.
We added false landing and ceiling joists to complete the look as well as a bespoke under-stairs oak door and cupboard.
Bespoke 8 mm toughened glass panels were fitted into slotted hand and base rails to complete the modern, transformation it was finished in water based clear satin varnish.
