John Lawson has been working with wood for as long as he can remember. Growing up, John spent his formative years working alongside his father, a builder, gaining hands-on experience across every aspect of construction from the ground up. That early grounding gave John something no classroom can teach: an instinctive understanding of how buildings work and how skilled craftsmanship can transform them.
That passion led John to qualify as a joiner through City & Guilds, and he has spent over 30 years building a reputation across South Yorkshire and beyond for work that is genuinely bespoke, genuinely personal and genuinely built to last.
A complete joinery service
What began as a specialism in staircases has grown into a full bespoke joinery service covering everything from media walls and fitted storage to orangeries, outdoor buildings and everything in between. Whatever the project, John brings the same approach: visiting you at home, listening carefully to what you want, and crafting something that’s made specifically for your space and your life.
